Harry Edward Styles, known in the world of music as Harry Styles, is a British musician and singer known as one of the members of the group One Direction. The band is based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England, Styles is the child of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, and with his three classmates, formed a musical band called White Eskimo. They were the winners of the Battle of Bands in 2009 due to their impressive results. While he's always fascinated by the arts, he aspired to become an attorney or physiotherapist. For a while he worked as a part-time baker in his city with the aim of helping financially at home. Harry Styles, in 2010 was a contestant on The X Factor. His track Is not She Lovely was performed by Stevie Wonder. This is why his group were forced to split. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who suggested Harry Styles to be part a future group called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group. They were first formed in 2010. The group performed the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart during the contest, which allowed them to become the frontrunners to win the competition. They came third, behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles was not the winner. Cowell had paid two million pounds under a contract with One Direction.
