Andrea Joy Cook

A.J. Cook is best known as an Canadian actor for her roles in The Virgin Suicides (1998) and Final Destination 2(2003). She also was Jennifer "JJ" Jareau on the television drama Criminal Minds. Cook's credits on television include Dead Like Me, Tru Calling, Higher Ground, Bluemoon, PSI Factor, Goosebumps, Elvis Meets Nixon, In His Father's Shoes, Laser Hawk and the television movie Island Heat. She appeared in feature films Blood Suckers II, Final Destination II The House Next Door Out Cold Ripper The Virgin Suicides Kisses The Tinker. Cook was brought up in Whitby by her father Mike who is a school teacher as well as her mother Sandra, who is a psychiatrist. Cook was raised by her siblings, Angela Nathan along with Paul. She was raised as a Mormon, or member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She took ballet, tap, and jazz classes when she was a child. When she was 17 that she began acting. She's competed in a variety of dance competitions. Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze became her motivation to becoming an actor. In August 2001, Cook became engaged to her long-time love Nathan Andersen, whom she was introduced to during a film course in Utah Valley University. Mekhai Allan Andersen is the Andersen's son. Mekhai was born in September 2008 She is a resident of Los Angeles
